Each occupation counts once. This is the composition of the selected occupation list, not the share of workers or jobs lost.

How consistently are the tasks exposed?

Right: higher mean exposure · Up: more variation between tasks within an occupation. Dispersion is not a confidence interval.

Definitions, coverage and reproducibility

Scores estimate the potential for GenAI to perform tasks within an occupation. A score of 0.70 is not a 70% probability of losing a job, nor a measured percentage of workers replaced. It does not measure adoption or completed layoffs.

427 occupations in the published chart export; the broader ILO study describes 436 detailed occupations. Not weighted by number of workers.

What we cannot count yet

There is no verified global census of people dismissed because of AI, broken down by job title and country. Announcements can overlap aggregate reports and must not be added to them. Company headquarters do not identify where affected workers live. A decline in hiring, an automation estimate and an actual dismissal are different observations.

New cases require a dated source, affected role and geography when disclosed, evidence category, announced versus completed status and explicit AI attribution. Unknown fields remain unavailable.
